TCDI Obtains Unqualified SAS 70 Type II Report
An unqualified SAS 70 Type II report demonstrates and reinforces TCDI’s commitment to quality, compliance and security.
Greensboro, NC – TCDI, a leading provider of eDiscovery and large-scale case management software and services, announced today the receipt of an unqualified Statement on Auditing Standards 70 (SAS 70) Type II Report.
SAS 70 represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and control activities including controls over information technology and related processes. The SAS 70 Type II audit not only measures processes and controls in place, it also measures the extent to which these processes and controls have been followed during a defined period of time.
“Our clients entrust us with sensitive information being managed through delicate and sometimes complex processes. They have the right to know that the processes and controls we apply to the service and management of their data is every bit as strict and exacting as their own,” said Bill Johnson, TCDI President and CEO. “We believe an annual SAS 70 Type II Audit is a way to provide our clients with further assurance of our commitment to quality, compliance and security in all aspects of our actions and infrastructure.”
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SAS 70 provides guidance to enable an independent auditor to issue an opinion on a service organization's description of controls through a Service Auditor's Report. This Service Auditor’s Report allows organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to clients and clients’ auditors in a uniform reporting format.
