In large litigation, review administration requires documents to be managed though sometimes tedious and complex workflows. Tasks as seemingly simple as assigning documents to appropriate reviewers can be time-consuming and difficult to track in large or rolling collections. Additionally, accounting for the status and progress of all documents often requires administrators to keep, and update, manual records and audit logs.
CV5 brings a new level of flexibility and automated control to the review administration environment, allowing administrators to reduce their time spent on tedious and repetitive tasks and increase their time spent truly managing their projects.
Customized Workflows
Large review projects usually call for a structured review approach allowing documents to move through a comprehensive workflow with many moving parts. All too often the workflow put in place is made up of manually-managed steps to move documents from stage to stage. These manual steps can lead to errors, omissions, and faulty auditing that slow the process and potentially increase risk and cost. CV5 allows for custom designed workflows that meet the simplest or most comprehensive needs of the client or project. Once setup, documents move through the workflow automatically based on transition rules that can account for review coding, quality control requirements, document attributes, even automated conceptual classifications. All actions taken on every document in the workflow is tracked and can be made available in a comprehensive audit log.
Automated Document Assignments
In its simplest sense, assigning documents to reviewers is no big deal. However, in large, complex or sensitive matters, document assignments are often done with great care. Whether it's done for confidentiality, topical expertise, foreign language capability or any other reason, keeping up with and administering document assignments over an extended review can be tedious and time consuming. CV5 allows review administrators to tag documents bound for review in a way that ensures they are routed directly to the correct reviewers. Automated document assignments save countless amounts time and effort over the course of large rolling reviews.
Real-Time Reporting
The ability to successfully manage review projects often depends on the type and timeliness of the information available. CV5 provides real-time metrics on the progress of documents in review, the review coding being applied and specific metrics or review productivity at the project and reviewer levels. Dashboard reports are available to be downloaded for distribution. Additionally, client and project-specific custom reporting is available and can be coordinated through your TCDI Project Manager.
