Search & Analysis

Prior to beginning document review, case teams and review administrators need the ability to gain a better sense of the documents at hand.  CV5 offers powerful search and analysis capabilities that allows greater insight into document populations. 

The CV5 search interface allows users to easily craft queries of text and fielded values.  Queries can be straight forward and basic or quite comprehensive through the use of Boolean operators and parenthetical groupings.  If the positioning of words in text is meaningful, proximity search capabilities will help zero-in on pertinent documents.  CV5 also allows users to actually see into the index and select values represented in any field in the database. This is particularly valuable when unknown or alternate spellings exist for words. Additionally, CV5 provides concept search to find documents with common meaning with or without common keywords. Concept search can be deployed alone or in conjunction with keywords and fielded terms. 

CV5 delivers fast search results allowing users to begin quickly gaining an understanding of their data. Search results can be viewed in summary or full record view.  Full record view allows documents to be viewed in native, full text or TIFF image (if available).  Additionally, examination of each document includes a thorough listing of metadata fields, review coding history, production history, redaction history and applications, duplicates in the database and related family documents.  Search returns can be clustered on the fly to deliver logical groupings of documents based on the concepts they contain.  One-click, find similar uses the concepts from the document being viewed to find other documents with similar concepts and meaning.  Results and search returns can easily be packaged into "quick" or custom designed reports and downloaded for distribution.
