Our founder, president and CEO, Bill Johnson started TCDI with just a small handful of employees. Since then, he has guided the formation of a company staffed with people wholly dedicated to the delivery of quality and success for each of our clients. Listed here are a few you might have met outside our walls.

Bill Johnson

Bill’s diverse background in programming and technology leadership gave him the vision to establish a unique company that provides technology solutions to corporate, legal, and government markets. He has more than 25 years of experience in knowledge management and advanced search technologies. Bill has worked with BASISPlus for more than 20 years and serves as a database-design specialist with explicit knowledge of a number of SQL compliant database systems, as well as large text databases. Bill earned a B.Arch with a concentration in Computer-Aided Design at the University of Maryland.

Susan Bright

Susan brings a unique combination of technical, consulting, and management skills to her position at TCDI. With in-depth knowledge of the design and development of databases and technical systems, she is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of TCDI’s organizational development, operational policies, objectives, initiatives, and contract administration. She has a BAS in Computer Science from Campbell University and an MA in Educational Media from Appalachian State University. Susan serves as a board member for both the Guilford Technical Community College Foundation and Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test (www.earlier.org).

Lisa Cain

Lisa is a CPA and brings a strong combination of financial, accounting, and computer information experience to TCDI. With more than 25 years of financial experience, she is responsible for the oversight and direction of TCDI’s financial operations. Lisa holds BS degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems and an MBA — all from Pfeiffer University, where she also serves on the Alumni Board.

Tom MacKenzie

In his leadership role, Tom is responsible for data privacy and compliance efforts at TCDI. Additionally he helps establish and maintain long-term client engagements and partnerships. Tom also aids in the product planning process by helping to identify and communicate client and market needs to TCDI’s internal development team. Tom joined TCDI in 2005 after spending 25 years with a top ten pharmaceutical company where he played a role in creative concept building, planning, and execution of business development and marketing initiatives on a national and global basis. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado with educational focus in Behavioral Development and Business. He also holds the Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS) designation, a program of study and examination sponsored by the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS).

Geoff McPherson

As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt,  Geoff provides guidance and leadership for the internal and external facing Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) efforts at TCDI. Prior to joining TCDI, Geoff worked for 16 years administering training programs in the industrial and business community. He was co-founder of the Lean Six Sigma School at Alamance Community College and continues to teach part time while overseeing the integrity of the program.  Geoff has a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from East Carolina University, a M.S. degree in Industrial Technology from North Carolina A&T State University and his Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from North Carolina State University. When he isn’t hard at work designing more efficient process, you’ll find him out on the water enjoying time with his family.

Tim Opsitnick

Timothy M. Opsitnick is the Founder and now President of JURINNOV, LLC (“JURINNOV”).  Mr. Opsitnick founded JURINNOV in 2000 and is at the forefront of practitioners addressing issues involved in the security and discovery of electronically stored information.  His consulting practice focuses on electronic discovery, information governance, cybersecurity, computer forensics, and cloud-based document management systems.  His clients include United States and international law firms and companies.  In 2016, JURINNOV was acquired by TCDI.  Mr. Opsitnick became Executive Vice President and General Counsel of TCDI after the acquisition.  

Anthony Klier

Anthony is responsible for directing the project management efforts for some very notable TCDI clients.  In addition to his contributions in Client Services, he has played a leadership role in TCDI’s research and development and product enhancement efforts. Prior to joining the Litigation Division, Anthony served as Vice President, Government Operations for TCDI’s Federal Systems Division where he led database and information management systems design, development, and integration. He also led the development of a number of critical applications for the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of State, as well as being the driving force behind the creation of secure web-based information management solutions supporting the Treaty Compliance Division in the U.S. Department of Commerce

Chris Attucks

Chris is responsible for overseeing the organization and maintenance of all aspects of the network infrastructure including corporate and client integration, and data center management. Chris has over 20 years’ experience in IT infrastructure implementation and support, and has a diverse background in both private sector and corporate settings. He has significant experience in utilizing automation and virtualization technologies that are vital in TCDI’s day-to-day operations. Chris started his career in the US Marine Corps serving as an Electronics Tech.  After serving his country, he went on to receive both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Information Systems from Penn State University.  He has completed coursework for his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and maintains VMware VCP and VCAP5-DCD certifications. When he is not at work, he spends most of his time coaching and mentoring local youth track athletes, fishing, or playing a few rounds of golf.

Dave York

Dave oversees the TCDI project management teams involved in projects relating to eDiscovery, case management, and document review. He started in the legal industry in 1998 working for a large local law firm. Today, Dave has made the rounds working on the law firm, client, and now vendor side of the industry. Over the past 8 years he has been a NC State Bar Certified Paralegal, holds a certification in Records Management, and is a Certified eDiscovery Specialist. Dave has also completed Black Belt Lean Six Sigma training and is currently in the process of completing his Black Belt certification. Since 2009 Dave has been involved with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society running several marathons and half marathons to raise funds and awareness. Dave says he’s not the fastest, but it’s rewarding and he enjoys running for a cause that’s close to him and his family.

John Ballard

John serves as a developer, analyst, and scrum master for the development staff at TCDI. He is responsible for facilitating a successful project and removing barriers that prohibit the team from delivering the sprint goals and deliverables. John earned both his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering respectively from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Previous to TCDI John developed specialized workflow software and building applications related to the processing and analysis of large data sets. John has a passion for developing quality software that solves critical client needs efficiently. His education and work background have exposed him to a wide array of technology and given him a depth of knowledge that has uniquely prepared him for success at TCDI. In his free time, John enjoys watching sporting events and spending time with his family.

Paul Gettmann

Paul Gettmann is the Vice President of Product Strategy for TCDI. In this role, Paul works with internal and external stakeholders to align product and service innovation with company strategy. Paul has more than 15 years of software consulting and product management experience in the legal industry. Most recently, he served as Director of Product Management at ZyLAB and, prior to that, worked for Content Analyst and LexisNexis where he was instrumental in designing descriptive and predictive analytics solutions for information retrieval and machine learning. He is an accomplished enterprise software product and program manager whose expertise lies in aligning business and IT strategy. Paul received his M.S. in the Management of Information Technology from University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.

Eric Vanderburg

Eric Vanderburg is a graduate from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Technology and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems. During and after his education he worked as a consultant specializing in the development and maintenance of information management and network security systems for businesses, law firms, and government agencies.  He was a professor of computer networking at Remington College where he taught courses on information security, database systems, and computer networking and has been invited to speak at many organizations and campuses on technology and information security.
