The Sedona Conference’s Working Group 1 (WG1) focuses on Electronic Document Retention and Production with the goal of developing guidance and best practice recommendations for information governance and eDiscovery. To learn more about WG1, visit the Sedona Conference website.
WG1 2018 Annual Meeting will be taking place October 24 – 26, 2018 in Los Angeles, California. During the meeting there will be five sessions covering the the most recent written work products from the following teams:
- eDiscovery Best Practices for Small Cases
- ESI Evidence & Admissibility
- Litigating at the Intersection of Sedona Principle 6 and Cooperation & Transparency
- Not Reasonably Accessible Sources of ESI
- Rule 45 Subpoenas and Nonparty Discovery
During the event, Timothy M. Opsitnick, along with others, will be speaking on ESI Evidence & Admissibility: Updates to Sedona’s 2008 Commentary are underway. Have the amendments to Federal Rule of Evidence 902 eased the burdens of authentication of ESI? Are new forms of ESI complicating the expected benefits of the rule change? This session will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 2:45 – 3:30.
