Junior Microsoft 365 Administrator
(Must be located within 3 hours of Greensboro, NC)

We are seeking a Junior Microsoft 365 Administrator to support the daily operation and maintenance of our Microsoft 365 environment. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional who is comfortable with cloud-based tools, eager to learn, and ready to take responsibility under the guidance of senior technical staff. The position focuses on routine administration, user support, and consistent execution of established procedures.

User & License Administration
 
  • Create, modify, and disable Microsoft 365 and Azure AD user accounts.
  • Assign and track licenses according to internal policies.
  • Manage security groups and distribution lists as requested.
 
Support & Troubleshooting
 
  • Provide Tier 1–2 support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Troubleshoot common issues such as login failures, mailbox concerns, and Teams connectivity problems.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior administrators with clear documentation.
 
Security & Compliance Support
 
  • Assist users with MFA enrollment and verify compliance status.
  • Review basic security alerts and escalate when necessary.
  • Help maintain accurate audit and activity logs.
 
Collaboration Services Support
 
  • Process requests related to Teams creation, channel management, and guest access.
  • Assist with SharePoint permissions adjustments and basic site updates.
  • Support OneDrive troubleshooting and storage concerns.
 
Device & Application Support
 
  • Assist with enrolling devices into Intune and verifying policy compliance.
  • Support deployment of standard applications and device configuration profiles.
 
Operational Tasks
 
  • Follow established procedures for mailbox administration, retention labels, and group updates.
  • Monitor Microsoft 365 service health dashboards and report issues promptly.
  • Perform routine environment checks and generate basic reports as needed.
Required
 
  • 1–2 years of IT support, help desk, or systems support experience.
  • Working knowledge of Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and general Microsoft 365 functionality.
  • Basic familiarity with Azure AD concepts such as users, groups, and roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented workflows.
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
 
Preferred
 
  • Basic PowerShell experience.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-900 or MS-102 (completed or in progress).
  • Growth path into mid-level cloud administration.
  • Exposure to advanced Microsoft 365 security, governance, and automation practices.
