Senior Accountant

TCDI is seeking a skilled Accountant with 3-5 years of experience who will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties.  This individual will maintain and post transactions to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger, and job cost modules; will assist with month-end and year-end close, accruals, and reconciliations; and is responsible for various monthly schedules and reports.

  • Directs and oversees all activities related to accounts payable
  • Directs and oversees AP invoice/EE expense report processing and coding
  • Assists in reconciling and coding of corporate credit card accounts
  • Updates depreciation schedule and reconciles it to the GL
  • Prepares CM entries and GL journal entries
  • Assists with the record retention (scanning) of finance records/files
  • Completes, reconciles, and posts monthly AR invoices and monitors aging AR
  • Updates Revenue Summary spreadsheet and Financial Reporting schedule
  • Maintains and posts transactions to AP, AR, CM, GL, and JC modules into Sympaq
  • Sets up new project/tasks in the NetSuite timesheet system
  • Processes payroll and 401k contributions semi-monthly
  • Reconciles Disability and Accident insurance employee benefit monthly invoices
  • Assists with month-end and year-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and reports
  • Completes monthly Bank Reconciliations and Cash Flow Analysis Report.
  • Completes monthly Financial Statements, Budget Reports, and Project Cost Analysis Reports
  • Documents finance processes with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Assists with various federal, state, and agency reporting requirements
  • Researches and resolves any accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Promotes and applies principles of Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
  • Demonstrates and utilizes creative and effective problem-solving skills
  • 2-5 years accounting experience
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office including Word, Access, Excel
  • Experience with cost accounting helpful
  • Multi-tasking with little direction
  • Effective time and resource management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • Work occasional varied hours to meet deadlines
  • Occasional travel
  • Normal work environment
  • Potential for hybrid (in-person/remote) work schedule after initial training period.
  • Prolonged computer work daily
  • Some lifting may be required to move equipment and/or files
