At TCDI, expanding doesn’t mean just one thing.

It means expanding geographically, with our new London office and recently launched UK website bringing local expertise closer to clients. It means expanding our capabilities through the TCDI Tech Lab, where emerging technologies are tested against the real complexities our clients face. And it means expanding from within by strengthening the support around our people, because when our teams have what they need, clients feel the difference.

Each kind of growth serves the same purpose: helping clients face what’s next with the right people, processes, and technology behind them.

So, to better understand what expanding means at TCDI, we asked our people. Here’s what they had to say:

Strategic Solutions Team

For me, one of the most important ways we bring our values to life is by expanding from the inside out. That starts with taking care of the people who take care of our clients.

Great client service doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when our teams feel supported, trusted, equipped, and empowered to do their best work. In my role, that means listening to what our people need and making sure they know their work matters.

When we expand the support around our people, our clients feel it. They experience more responsive communication, stronger problem-solving, better quality, and a team that is genuinely committed to their success. That connection between caring for our team and serving our clients is what makes TCDI special. It is how we build trust and create a culture where people are proud of the work they do.

For me, expanding is about much more than entering new markets or growing a business. It starts with expanding my perspective, and I do that by staying curious and listening properly to better understand the challenges, goals, and cultures of the people I work with.

Having lived and worked across different countries and cultures, I have learned that growth is rarely one-dimensional. It’s shaped by context, trust, relationships, and the ability to see things through more than one lens. In my role helping TCDI grow across the UK and Europe, that mindset is essential. Sustainable growth can only come from understanding what people genuinely need and building relationships that create long-term value.

My executive coaching work has reinforced the same lesson. Meaningful growth often begins by stepping outside familiar boundaries and questioning assumptions. This mindset let’s me see opportunity where others may see complexity. Whether we are expanding our business, our skills, or our thinking, the most lasting progress starts with an open mind and a commitment to continuous learning.

Expanding, to me, means something pretty literal. I was TCDI’s first employee in the UK when the company established its presence here, so I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to build something from the ground up. Expanding into the UK was never about putting a name on a map. It was about being closer to our clients, understanding the regulatory and data landscape they work in, and giving them local expertise they can rely on rather than support from an ocean away.

Having rejoined TCDI earlier this year as Director of Client Services and Client Data Services for the UK, I’ve been reminded that expansion works on two levels: the company growing into new markets, and our people growing into bigger roles and deeper expertise. Both matter to our clients. As our team expands its capabilities, that translates directly into better service and greater capacity to support clients as their needs change.

Ultimately, we want to help our clients expand and grow, because when they succeed, we succeed too. Their growth is our growth. Our role is to keep expanding what we can offer so our clients never have to look elsewhere as their needs evolve.
