At TCDI, performance is not a one-person metric. It’s a mindset that spans teams, disciplines, and departments.
From Client Services and Business Development to Technical Operations and Digital Forensics, every team contributes to the success of the whole. We’re all accountable for outcomes, and we don’t just work together. We work for each other. Being performance-driven means focusing on results, improving how we work, and leaning on each other’s strengths to solve challenges with clarity and purpose.
And while this is a win for TCDI, the real winners are our clients. This culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement allows us to deliver smarter, faster, and more dependable solutions. It’s how we stay agile in complex environments, anticipate evolving needs, and provide the kind of support that makes a lasting difference.
This month, we asked our team what performance-driven means in their roles. Here’s how they bring it to life every day:

Dave York | Chief Client Officer
Strategic Solutions Team
Being performance-driven means fully embracing our Lean Six Sigma culture, having a strong focus on achieving results, and continuously striving for improvement. It’s about not settling for meeting expectations but striving to always exceed them. And if we fail, we strive to learn and grow from our mistakes and challenges. It’s about being proactive, strategic, taking ownership, and constantly seeking ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through innovative solutions and excellent, well-planned service.

Sara Coley | Senior Director
Client Services Team
To me, being performance-driven in a Client Services role means showing up with intention and purpose for our clients, the TCDI team, and personally in my own development.
For our clients, it means going beyond expectations. I focus on addressing their needs accurately and efficiently, and when possible, anticipating them before they arise. I work to reduce risk, minimize the opportunity for error, and apply lessons learned using feedback to improve support. It also means being responsive, meeting or beating deadlines, and delivering consistent results our clients can rely on.
For the TCDI team, being performance-driven means making sure my colleagues have the support, tools, and information they need to serve our clients well. That includes responding to requests without hesitation, following our processes while helping improve them, and providing training and ongoing guidance so we can maintain accuracy, consistency, and efficiency as a team.
Finally, on a personal level, it means staying ahead. I prioritize continuous learning and regularly explore new technologies, not just to keep pace but to help lead the way. Growth in my role is about being proactive, staying curious, and bringing that energy back to both my team and our clients.

Sujan Bajracharya | Senior Technical Application Engineer
Technical Operations Team
Being performance-driven as a Technical Application Engineer at TCDI means staying motivated, focused, and proactively managing critical system platforms and client processes while contributing to the company’s success.
As a SQL DBA and Relativity Infrastructure Expert, I stay updated on the latest features, updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve the organization’s use of the platform. I prioritize the performance of our Relativity infrastructure, because I understand that slow systems and poorly performing databases can directly affect our clients’ experience.
My commitment lies in optimizing Relativity SQL database processes, refining server configurations for peak efficiency, and proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks. I aim to deliver a reliable, high-performing environment while tackling client workflow challenges.

Anays Ponce Quintero | Technical Writer
Quality Engineering Team
As the Technical Writer at TCDI, being performance-driven means creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation that empowers users and promotes self-confidence. In my role, I focus on delivering release notes, tutorials, and help content that support both new features and long-standing functionality.
I stay in sync with evolving software applications to ensure our materials are equitable and useful. Maintaining and improving our online help site is part of that commitment. Performance here means anticipating user needs and meeting them before they have to ask.

John Mietliz | Senior Director
Business Development Team
My definition of being performance-driven has been shaped by my professional career and personal activities for many years. Early in my career I was focused on the operational and client services functions and used the daily metrics of defined output as a scorecard to measure performance every day. This approach suited me well and led to numerous promotions and increasing advancements in responsibilities. It did, however, cause me to lose touch with the strategic direction of the organization I worked with.
As my career evolved to a focus on business development and client relationships, I realized that a more holistic approach to being performance-driven was the key to long term success. This is what led me to join TCDI.
Being part of a company that is employee-owned ensures that everyone in the organization has a common drive to ensure the success of the business. TCDI’s success over nearly four decades in a hyper-competitive and dynamic industry is a result of everyone understanding and operating by a few basic tenets of being “performance-driven:”
- Our teams are ambitious, forward-looking, and persistent.
- As a company, we embrace continuous process improvement and utilize Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology to solve problems and respond to our clients changing needs.
- We are all driven by results, and each function within the organization helps employees track their progress towards individual and team goals. This ensures that everyone can support one another to resolve issues. It also allows us to not only respond to the market but lead it.
- Finally, from our leadership to each employee, everyone holds themselves accountable and responsible for all of TCDI’s daily functions, client success, and long-term strategic goals.

Erin Swakopf | Project Manager
Digital Forensics Team
As the Forensics Department Project Manager, being performance-driven means showing up every day ready to solve problems, keep things moving, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. I do that by making sure every decision I make is anchored in efficiency, precision, and client impact.
I measure success not just by hitting milestones, but by exceeding expectations and maintaining trust. That means consistently delivering accurate, defensible results under tight deadlines without compromising quality. I’m always looking for ways to improve how we work, anticipate issues before they happen, and keep our team aligned with what matters most to the client.
That performance-driven mindset is at the core of how our team operates: with focus, flexibility, and a commitment to providing excellent service.
