The Discovery Engineer role requires proficiency in addressing complex ESI processing challenges. A successful candidate will be able to provide technical support for our ESI platform, set up processing environments for new projects, manage resources, and ensure client data is accurately integrated and produced. The role also entails safeguarding client data integrity, offering ESI processing time estimates, and analyzing data trends, among other things. Previous experience in the UK’s ESI processing or related legal fields is a plus.

  • Provide technical support to ESI processors and users
  • Safeguard client data
  • Develop solutions for non-standard processing
  • Set up ESI processing for Nuix and RelOne environments
  • Process client data according to specifications provided
  • Perform one-off data transformations to convert or modify existing data as project specifications require
  • Perform production requests from Relativity
  • Perform data loads into Nuix and Relativity
  • Create and perform searches within Relativity
  • Perform Imaging/OCR tasks from Relativity
  • Monitor ticket queue and CDS inbox for client requests
  • Promote and apply principles of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) for continuous process improvement, reducing waste and variability, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate and utilise creative and effective problem-solving skills
  • Follow TCDI’s standard operating procedures
  • Track all steps and actions during processing so that they are reportable and auditable
  • Analyse processes and results for efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with other Discovery, Network, and Technical Services personnel as needed
  • Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly
  • Keep management appropriately informed of area activities and significant problems
  • Maintain and project the company’s professional reputation
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Creative and innovative thinking in order to research and find solutions for problems to complete projects successfully
  • Solid knowledge of the eDiscovery project lifecycle
  • Proficiency with PC and server hardware, data storage devices, standard software (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, etc.) and specialised applications
  • Knowledge of various operating systems and cross-platform compatibility
  • Experience with software installation, configuration, maintenance and operation
  • Functional knowledge of system/network security
  • Ability to analyse processes and results for efficiency and accuracy
  • Experience working with Postgres, SQL
  • Experience loading and producing in Relativity
  • Experience working with internal and external clients
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple tasks and priorities in dynamic environment
  • Team-player mentality
  • Ability to manage resources and time effectively
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Degree in computer science, digital forensics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications from Relativity, Nuix, ACEDS and/or other organisations
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • Ability to work varied hours to meet client and project needs
  • Some travel may be required
  • Hybrid working arrangements (combining work in the London office with remote work within the UK) are available
  • Daytime office hours, with flexibility in accordance with the needs of the business
  • Standard office environment
